Kang Ye Won is well known for her work Haeundae and Quick. Actually, she was choir singer and received classical vocal training. But her career path changed when she got vocal cord nodules (which is later confirmed to be vocal cord edema), because of that she couldn’t sing anymore. I think she felt badly as she was trained to be classical singer but now she hardly do that. Also because of this, she lost her confidence that she couldn’t sing in front of public anymore (because how could a former classical singer have pitch everywhere throughout the whole song). By joining this project, she might be able to sing in future. I mean she will be given training to overcome this difficulties that she didn’t manage to do for the past years. 

Hong Jin-young, a trot singer aka queen of functions. Prior to solo debut, she was once in girl group like Minzy and Somi but somehow didn’t end well. She feel regret because it didn’t end well. She looks like her career path is straight to walk to her current position but who knows she trained a lot.

Minzy, former member of 2NE1. She left the group and YG in 2016 and in later the group disbandment notice which gives us total shock for that. For my point of view, YG didn’t put much resources on 2NE1 as a group. Minzy had made great decision, at least now she’s working on her solo album. Being in the show, she could have a very new kick-start to strike out again as a solo singer.

Jeon So-mi, member of I.O.I which had officially disbanded on Jan 2017, but Somi had signed contract with JYP to continue her solo activities. After disbandment, she don’t know where she is heading and how to continue as solo singer. I think she is clueless about her future career path. Due to her celebrity identity, she faced a lot of cruel devil comments which I pity her so much. Because girls in her age should be studying enjoying puppy love life, instead she choose to walk down this path.  Joining the show, is consider a great start as solo singer for her as well. 

Han Chae Yong, Hong Jin-kyung, both of them struggle a lot. They are bottom two of vocal and dancing test. Both of them have no experience on this part esp Han Chae Yong. Consider this is the first time she was joining the show, I think actually she done good job in term of variety, in term of girl group training. She’s bold and confidence to present herself in front of public despite she has no related experience. She just want to give it a try for something she didn’t experience for past years. I like what the producer- Kim Hyeong-seok said she will change if she determined to do that.

Kim Sook and Hong Jin-kyung really brave, I mean they are trained by JYP in S1, so they know what was this is all about and what kind of cruel training and comments they will faced.  Yet they still join the show. A round applause to them. (P.S : I think Kim Sook is kind of potential, I mean vocally )

Finished about singing dream, let’s talk about variety part. In S2, Kim Sook, Hong Jin-kyung are actually the funny creator in the show. They knows how to throw the laughing bomb to audience. For the girl group project, Minzy is the leader of the group. But in show, Kim Sook led the girls, how to play in the show, how to be in the show (correct me if I’m wrong, but these girls had no experience in joining these type of show) After all, she’s a MC and comedian. I think the girls are comfortable with her since Kim sook should be easy to get along with them because of her job role. Hong Jin-kyung, I know she’s model, mom, and wife. But potential to be a comedian. She got the talent to throw laughing bomb to audience unintentionally. I like seeing her in the show. She is like Running Man’s Gary and Lee Kwang Soo for me (squid and girin).

As for the producer, Kim Hyung Seok, I know him from the Return of Superman, when Lee Hwi Jae appa and twins visit him for their singles - Trio. His little girl, wooofff....  i guess the blood of talent must inherit from his appa, just like the comedy gag genes is now showing from twins. Btw, he's really good. I mean I seriously like all of the song he made for Unnies. The one I like the most is one he haven't finish. It's so my style. But I somehow hope that there are song/lyrics on how Unnies endure hardship and reach where they are right now ( after watching the eyes tearing part, where Unnies share their experience when they first debut, but too bad Somi wasn't there).

Hong Jin-young – Bold and dare unnie with fragile heart

Minzy –quiet girly girl. (Hope she could be slightly more outgoing like she could do for singing and dancing)

Jeon So-mi – Shine bright dongsaeng that always cheer up and brighten the mood.
